Peoria Police Records Request

Request Peoria Police records at peoriaaz.gov. The department uses GovQA and CrashDOCS for records management. Letter processing takes about 5 business days. The online portal lets you submit requests and track their status as they move through the system.

The office is at 8351 W. Cinnabar Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call (623) 773-7098 for questions. Email records@peoriaaz.gov for inquiries. Payment is by debit card only. The department does not accept cash or checks for record requests. Bring your debit card if you plan to pick up records in person.

Traffic crash reports go through CrashDOCS. This is a separate system from regular police records. Peoria participates in the statewide crash reporting network. These reports may be available sooner than other record types since they use a different process.

Peoria Arrests and County Booking

Peoria Police transport arrestees to Maricopa County jails. The county sheriff runs the regional jail system serving all cities in the metro area. Peoria does not operate its own jail. All arrests in the city lead to county booking. The process starts when Peoria officers make an arrest and ends at a county facility.

Search for Peoria arrestees through the Maricopa County inmate search. The search shows current custody, charges, and bond amounts. Enter the person's name to find their record. Results show which facility holds the person and what their bond is set at. You can also search by booking number if you have it.

The county jail information line is (602) 876-0322. Staff can tell you if someone is in custody. They can also provide bond amounts and next court dates. For detailed arrest reports, you need to contact Peoria Police directly. The county only handles the booking and custody side. See the Maricopa County page for more jail details.

Peoria Booking Records and State Law

Arizona's public records law covers booking information. ARS 39-121 requires that public records be open for inspection during office hours. Booking records fall under this requirement. Anyone can request to see arrest and booking information from Peoria Police or Maricopa County.

The law at ARS 41-1750 addresses criminal records specifically. It creates an exception for police blotters and daily arrest logs. These records are considered public even though other criminal history information may be restricted. The practical effect is that booking records can be released soon after an arrest occurs.

Some information gets redacted before release. Victim names and contact information must be removed per state law. Juvenile records are not public. Records from ongoing investigations may be held until the case closes. These rules apply to Peoria records the same as anywhere else in Arizona.

VINE Custody Notifications

The Arizona VINE system provides custody notifications statewide. VINE tracks inmates in county jails including those arrested by Peoria Police. You can register to receive alerts when an inmate's status changes. This includes release notifications, transfers, and escapes.

Notifications come by phone, email, or text. The VINE app also provides push notifications. The Arizona VINE hotline is 1-800-247-9763. Call this number to check custody status or register for alerts. The service operates around the clock every day of the year. It serves crime victims who need to know when an offender's custody status changes.

Getting Peoria Police Reports

Police reports from Peoria contain details about arrests and incidents. These are separate from the booking records at the county jail. To get a full picture of an arrest, you may need records from both places. Peoria Police have the arrest report. Maricopa County has the booking information.

Submit your request through the GovQA portal for the fastest processing. Include as much detail as you can about the incident. The date, names of people involved, and case number all help staff find the right records. Incomplete requests take longer to process because staff have to search more broadly.

Note: Request fees are non-refundable even if no records are found matching your request.
