Queen Creek Booking Quick Facts
Queen Creek Police Records
Request Queen Creek Police records at queencreekaz.gov. The department moved from NextRequest to GovQA for managing public records requests. Submit through the online portal for tracking. The system assigns each request a number so you can check its progress as staff work through the queue.
Due to processing costs for video files, an estimate will be provided by Records staff after the request is received. Body camera and other video requests take longer because staff must review and redact footage before release. You will receive a cost estimate before any payment is due for these requests.
The office is at 20727 E. Civic Pkwy, Queen Creek, AZ 85142. Call 480-358-3535 option 2 for records. Non-emergency is 480-358-3500. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Staff can answer questions about what records are available and how long requests typically take to process.
Queen Creek and County Booking
Queen Creek spans two counties, but most of the city is in Maricopa County. Queen Creek Police transport arrestees to Maricopa County jails in most cases. The county sheriff operates the jail system for the region. Search for arrestees through the Maricopa County inmate search. Enter the person's name to find their booking record.
If the arrest occurred in the Pinal County portion of Queen Creek, the booking may be at the Pinal County jail instead. Pinal County's online inmate search is currently paused due to the Houston court ruling. Call the Pinal County jail at 520-213-8553 to check custody status there. Phone staff can confirm if someone is in custody and provide bond information.
See the Maricopa County and Pinal County pages for details about each county's jail system and records. Knowing where the arrest happened helps determine which county handles the booking.
Queen Creek Booking Records Law
Arizona's public records law (ARS 39-121) requires government records to be available for public inspection. This includes booking records, arrest logs, and police reports. Queen Creek Police must provide access to these records upon request during office hours.
The statute at ARS 41-1750 addresses criminal records specifically. It exempts police blotters and daily arrest logs from stricter restrictions. This means booking information can be released shortly after an arrest occurs. The law allows contemporaneous disclosure of arrest data to the public.
Certain information gets withheld. Victim information must be redacted under ARS 13-4434 before records are released. Juvenile records remain confidential. Active investigation files may stay sealed until cases close. These exemptions protect privacy while still allowing public access to most booking and arrest information.
VINE Custody Notification
The Arizona VINE system provides custody notifications statewide. VINE tracks inmates in both Maricopa and Pinal County jails. Since Queen Creek straddles both counties, VINE covers arrests that go to either jurisdiction. Crime victims can register to receive alerts when custody status changes.
Register at vinelink.com or call the Arizona VINE hotline at 1-800-247-9763. Choose your notification method: phone calls, emails, texts, or app notifications. The service runs around the clock every day of the year. It alerts you when an inmate is released, transferred, or escapes. Registration is free and confidential.
Note: VINE is especially useful for Queen Creek since arrests may go to different county jails depending on location.
